Pop Your (Web) Copy

I’m a little late to the party, but hey: the slides from my recent Refresh Seattle presentation are now available. You can find them on the Refresh website, or easily download them here (7.8MB PDF).

In the talk, I presented a series of commonsense–but regularly overlooked–tips on how to create good web copy. We covered the basics of solid writing, what makes for effective copywriting, and why web copy is special.

Thanks to Blue Flavor for inviting me to speak, and to Kenny Meyers and Nick Finck for setting everything up. It was my first preso, but the whole experience was far less painful than I’d imagined. I might even say enjoyable. Hope you like the slides!

Tiffani is one of the hardest working, easiest-to-get-along-with people I've ever worked with in my career. She's got a great eye for detail, an effective (and fun) communication style and a ton of energy. I hope to have many more years working with her.
